The Harrell's love of barbeque and all the fun that goes with it started in California 25 years ago with our custom-made, bright red Super Grill. While feeding both customers and friends, Wendell honed his skills at barbequing everything from lobster to the all-time California favorite –tri-tip steak.
 
After moving to Cheyenne in 2004 and discovering how much the locals love barbeque and  smoked turkey legs, Wendell & Diane decided to try their hand at the retail food business. Pioneer Bar-B-Que, Inc. was born and rapidly became a full-fledged catering business. From a walk-up BBQ stand in their 1976 Vintage Silver Streak trailer/kitchen to feeding up to 1,000 at local business and private functions, their reputation for quality food, cleanliness, down-home friendliness, and cost effective menus quickly made them a household name.

  From the Wyoming State Capitol to the Happy Jack Wind Farm, Old West shootouts to wedding receptions,  Grand Openings and Open Houses for local businesses they serve a wide variety of venues and events.

 In addition, they have been involved in   Cheyenne farmers markets,  Arts & Crafts fair, Home & Garden Show,  Cheyenne Superday, Fridays on the Plaza, Winter Market at the Depot, Thomas the Train Days in Golden, CO. and more.
